@ck_ministries We have two teams leaving today to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth!
First to leave is the Thailand team. Pray for them as they are already on their way! We can wait to see how the Lord is going to use them!
Do you see this Prius? It either ran out of battery while parking or it thinks its way longer than it is. #accidentwaitingtohappen
@clayton_king this funny boy just said to me,"If someone dared me to wear roller blades all day for money I would definitely do it. Actually I'd probably do it if they didn't give me money. Actually I would. Where are my roller blades?" #teamking
God gives us the gift of laughter to help us through our struggles. One way I've learned to let go is to laugh at myself.
Last night my kids taught us the game "My Grandma's Underpants." Someone asks you a question, and no matter what, you have to respond with "my grandma's underpants" without smiling or laughing. We laughed so hard, afterward my cheeks hurt.
It's hard for me to smile, much less laugh when I'm mad, angry, or depressed. When were down in the dumps Jesus wants to open our heart to who we were created to be and close it to the feelings that torments us. Sometimes he does this through a smile. When you find the opportunity to laugh, heal your soul by swinging the door wide open.
Proverbs 17:22, "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
#tbt to that time I went to the restroom in Thailand. Someone kindly placed signage on the back of the toilet stall so I wouldn't use a modern toilet like a squatty potty. This made me wonder, "What motivated someone to create this sign? Did the toilet cause confusion or injuries among users? If so, what kind of injuries occurred? Was anyone hospitalized? Maybe toilets were broken because of misuse. #deepthoughts
My husband, @clayton_king, planned a special birthday party with some amazing friends. Thanks so much @simplyme_holly @thebergerchronicles @marisarenegar @margie_bear @molliesuits and Joy Branch for celebrating with me. I was so surprised and better for being around you for a couple of days.
@clayton_king had a special reunion with his high school coach when we spoke at North Greenville University last week. His coach quizzed him on football plays and Clayton remembered them all. It was sweet to meet a man who had such a significant impact on my husbands life. #teamking
I met this sweet lady last night at Pleasant Grove Baptist when I spoke for a women's dinner. She was friends with Clayton's parents when they were trying to adopt him. She wrote the option agency a letter testifying to their good character. I can't say how thankful I am for her friendship with them. Her act of kindness brought Clayton into a wonderful family and gave me the man I love. What a special acquaintance!
